Good Evening Loves,
So today starts my Christmas Song Series in which I share a list of books based off a Christmas/Holiday song. I love developing lists around a theme and thought this would be a great way to help get into the Christmas/Holiday season. 🙂
Today’s Song: Winter Wonderland (sung by Michael Bublé)
Now on to the list of winter-themed books to go along with today’s song!
Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, & Lauren Myracle | Three hilarious and charming interconnected tales of love, romance, and breathtaking kisses during the holidays.
The Gathering Storm by Robin Bridges | St. Petersburg, Russia, 1888. As she attends a whirl of glittering balls, royal debutante Katerina Alexandrovna, Duchess of Oldenburg, tries to hide a dark secret: she can raise the dead. Torn between two young men & drawn into a fight of power, which side will she choose—and to whom will she give her heart?
Girl Overboard by Justina Chen | When her broken heart results in a snowboarding accident that exiles her from the mountains-the one place where she feels free and accepted for who she is, not what she has-can Syrah rehab both her busted-up knee, “and” her broken heart?
Stitching Snow by R. C. Lewis | Essie has grown used to being cold. Temperatures on the planet Thanda are always sub-zero, and she fills her days with coding and repairs for the seven loyal drones that run the local mines. When a mysterious young man named Dane crash-lands near her home, Essie agrees to help the pilot repair his ship.
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater | For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It’s her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human—or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.
Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan | Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy?
Snowed In by Rachel Hawthorne | Ashleigh’s mom just bought an inn in a small town. There’s not too much to do outside of some snow-related fun, but there’s a few hot guys around town.
Snow In Love by Claire Ray | Jessie lives in an Alaskan tourist town. She waits eagerly for the time when her boyfriend Jake comes with his family to visit. This year though, Jake brings a girl with him to town. Is Jake still hers and what’s with Will Parker being nice to her all of a sudden?
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raash | Sixteen years ago the Kingdom of Winter was conquered and its citizens enslaved, leaving them without magic or a monarch. Now, the Winterians’ only hope for freedom is the eight survivors who managed to escape, and who have been waiting for the opportunity to steal back Winter’s magic and rebuild the kingdom ever since.
My True Love Gave to Me by Various Authors | Twelve Holiday Stories by twelve bestselling young adult writers. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah, Winter Solstice or Kwanzaa, there’s something here for everyone. So curl up by the fireplace and get cozy. You have twelve reasons this season to stay indoors and fall in love.
Love on the Lifts by Rachel Hawthorne | Kate explores some possible loves this winter season while spending some time skiing.
Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler | Once upon a time, Hudson knew exactly what her future looked like. Then a betrayal changed her life, and knocked her dreams to the ground. Now she’s a girl who doesn’t believe in second chances… a girl who stays under the radar by baking cupcakes at her mom’s diner and obsessing over what might have been….It’s time for Hudson to ask herself what she really wants, and how much she’s willing to sacrifice to get it.
